Project Manager

For more than 30 years, I’ve worked in the foodservice industry in several capacities. I was actually a server and bartender in another life! I also did millwork and stainless steel fabrication, and I worked as a dealer project manager until I realized that Premier was the place to be if I wanted to work on fun and exciting projects. It seemed to me that others in the industry felt that Premier was the best. So when I found out Premier needed a new project manager, I jumped at the chance. And I’m still here because we are the best!

Someone asked me, “What do you like about foodservice?” My answer:

What is there not to like?! There are so many different personalities and types of people to meet—restaurant owners, architects, construction people, and factory reps.

I like the variety of projects, too. No two projects are the same, from cafes to high-end restaurants. I am most proud of managing two multimillion-dollar casino installations in two consecutive years. It’s work, but it’s good work. And there is a reason this is also called the “hospitality” industry: After all the hard work of opening a restaurant, you can go and enjoy the food and drink!

Off the clock, my husband and I are empty nesters. We lost our son to cancer a few years ago and our daughter lives in Tokyo, Japan. Traveling there to visit her was amazing! I also am a DIY-er—crafting, building, and remodeling our house. And I read a lot.
