Now the next evolution combines a tailored selection of groceries with restaurant-style dining in the Lunds & Byerlys Kitchen. It’s located at The Promenade of Wayzata, a new retail building just north of Lake Street on Superior Boulevard in Wayzata, Minnesota.

Premier Restaurant Equipment furnished the foodservice equipment, including a Wood Stone pizza oven, and seating for 140 guests. We worked with Caribou Coffee to incorporate functional space for roasting coffee beans there. The first of its kind, this 17,000-sq.-ft. market/restaurant embraces innovative table-side technology and maintains the upscale ambiance of the brand’s award-winning grocery stores.

Fresh thinking on fresh foods!

At Lunds & Byerlys Kitchen, guests can watch the chefs turn fruits and vegetables, bakery goods, hand-cut meats, and plump seafood into delicious made-to-order sandwiches, sushi, gourmet pizzas, and other seasonal menu items in the open “food theater.” The restaurant also offers a hot food and salad bar, a charcuterie station for cut‐to‐order Italian meats, and an onsite bar with wine and draft beer.

Let us repeat that: Lunds & Byerlys Kitchen features a BAR. Oh, yes. It’s a relaxing, sit-down lounge, serving an impressive selection of wine and craft beers.
